Many manufacturers try to streamline their range by offering a smaller number of models, each designed to fit a broad range of carriers. For example, they may produce just one model intended for all 10–20 ton excavators. While this approach may reduce manufacturing costs, it creates a major issue for operators—a lack of true compatibility. A smaller bucket may be inefficient, slowing down screening operations by increasing the number of cycles, while a larger bucket may increase cycle times or cause instability.
How Did We Solve This Problem?
To address this issue, we developed 31 unique models, each optimised for a specific carrier weight range. Unlike other manufacturers, we don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, our screening buckets are tailored to optimise the carrier's output, ensuring maximum efficiency, performance, and reliability. This means operators get the best possible screening bucket for their machine without compromise.
Dedicated Skid Steer and Loader Models
Rather than simply adapting excavator screening buckets for loaders and skid steers, we designed dedicated models for these carriers.
L Series – Specifically engineered for loaders, ensuring perfect compatibility with their lifting and hydraulic capabilities.
SL Series – Built for skid steers and compact track loaders, offering features such as cab entry steps, flow control valves, and a purpose-built skid steer interface. These models are also designed to allow easy cab access, without having to disconnect the attachment.
Bucket Weight
Gyru-Star screening buckets are engineered to be as lightweight as possible without compromising on strength or durability. Our innovative multi-layer monocoque shell construction keeps weight to a minimum while maintaining structural integrity. Combined with carbon belt drives, they make Gyru-Star screening buckets some of the lightest on the market.

This also benefits operators using tiltrotators. Due to the additional weight of a tiltrotator, operators usually have no choice but to use a smaller screening bucket. Keeping our screening buckets lightweight allows for larger models to be used with tiltrotators, maximising the screening area and maintaining efficiency.
Screening Area
Our screening buckets are available in 500mm, 600mm, 800mm, 1000mm, 1200mm, and 1500mm widths, in 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6-rotor versions.
For applications such as backfilling, where precision and efficiency are key, having a wider or narrower screening bucket can make all the difference. By offering multiple options, we ensure that operators have the right tool for their specific needs.
Hydraulics
Hydraulic performance is a crucial factor in screening efficiency, yet it is often overlooked by other manufacturers. Many screening buckets are designed to accommodate a wide range of hydraulic pressures and flow rates, which can lead to inefficiencies.

Additionally, our simplified hydraulic system improves overall reliability and allows Gyru-Star screening buckets to be seamlessly used with tiltrotators without requiring modifications.
